Bulls snag third-straight victory in road battle with Forge, move to 5-8-0-1 on season
The Wooster Bulls are making up ground.
And they are doing so very, very fast.
On Sunday, Jan. 11, the Wooster Bulls matched up against the Iron City Forge for game two of a six-game swing between the two parties. Just a day prior, the Bulls were able to squeak away with a third-period comeback win, 10-7, from the Frozen Ice Pond in Valencia, Pa.
When the two sides kick-started the rivalry again on Sunday afternoon, it was yet again another can't-miss game. The Bulls were able to come out on top, 3-1. The victory pushes the Bulls up to a 5-8-0-1 record with just nine games to go in the 2025-26 campaign.
In the opening period of action, Remington Reynolds continued his reign of terror on the ice. He netted the game's opening goal to give the Bulls a 1-0 edge. It would be the only puck netted in the first frame.
Heading into the second, there was a need for continued control from Wooster, especially while being on the road.
They ended up letting in one, but a response from Nick Ciura gave the team the edge, 2-1, with 40 minutes of ice time gone by.
With just one frame remaining, the Bulls left it all out there with a goal from defender Kenneth Whaley Jr., his first of the season. The goal from Whaley Jr. would keep the Bulls in control as they cruised to a 3-1 victory.
The Bulls have not lost a game since Saturday, Jan. 3, marking a three-game winning streak. This is the first time in the history of the organization that they've strung together wins. They've now bounced up to third place in the Eastern Conference, three points ahead of fourth and five above fifth.
Up next, the guys will be back in action from Alice Noble Ice Arena on Saturday, Jan. 24, against the Forge yet again. Puck drop between the two Eastern Conference foes is set for 7:30 p.m. EST.
