Bulls fall in international matchup against Ridgetown Royals, 6-2

On Saturday, Nov. 22, the Wooster Bulls travelled north to take on the Ridgetown Royals for an international matchup taking place at East Kent Memorial Arena in Ridgetown, Ontario.

The trip was the first outside of the country for the Bulls in the organization's inaugural season in the APHL.

While it didn't go to plan with the Bulls falling, 6-2, there were many positives for the team that calls Wooster, Ohio, "home."

Finding the back of the net for the team was forward Zak Bell, who opened up the scoring for the Bulls in the second frame. He was assisted by forward Ethan Critzer and defender Ryan Johnston.

The next goal for the Bulls came in the third period, with the stick of forward Remington Reynolds rifling a shot past the Royals' goaltender. He was assisted on the goal by forward, and brother, Colt Reynolds and forward Matt Omiencinski.

While Bulls goaltender Jack Hudec allowed six past, he put together an excellent showing for the volume of shots he faced at 61. Of that high number of pucks flying his way, he saved 55.

Hudec was named the third star of the game by the Royals following the home team's victory.

With the loss, the Bulls move to 1-5 on the young 2025-26 campaign.

They next look to a three-week break before resuming action on Saturday, Dec. 13, back at the team's home ice in Wooster. They will play host to the Thousand Island Raiders with puck drop scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST from Alice Noble Ice Arena.
